Recession

For this task I was asked to photograph 'a period of an economic contraction, sometimes limited in scope or duration'.
For this I decided to photograph abandoned buildings, that would have been popular in its day.

The first image I took was of the building I took for my 'break' task. The building is rooting, deserted. I think it illustrates the 'recession' period.

I liked the contrast between the boards, showing pictures of how the house looked during the 19th century to the deserted building now.

The final image I took was on the marina, to show the progression of the economic change, although these new buildings had big plans to be popular, still have vacancies (to let sign). This shows that the recession is still here.
